A Braw Day Oot In Edinburgh

At HAGGiS we love showing you all of Scotland’s hidden gems, but we can’t neglect our legendary hometown and capital of Edinburgh. Kirsty has designed this trip around her favourite secret spots – get off the beaten track and discover the side of the city most tourists never see. It doesn’t get more authentic than this. With Kirsty you will cycle the meandering paths of the gorgeous water of Leith, venture through idyllic Dean Village and hike up Arthur’s Seat for stunning panoramic views. A truly braw day oot wouldn’t be complete without some dancing, so we’ll finish off the day with a traditional Scottish Ceilidh (dance). By the end of this tour, you’ll feel like a local and walk, bike, hike and dance like one too.

  • Cycle the idyllic Water of Leith
  • Climb mighty Arthur’s Seat for panoramic views of the city
  • Sample some of Scotland's local produce
  • Dance like a true Scot at a traditional Ceilidh

  • Your Legendary local HAGGiS Guide

This epic day will begin in Leith, the East part of Edinburgh where we’ll have a coffee at one of the local cafes. We’ll then cycle along the Water of Leith and Union Canal stopping along the way to take in some of Edinburgh’s most elegant areas such as Dean village and Stockbridge.

By lunchtime we will have reached Holyrood Park where we’ll lock up our bikes and take a hike up the famous Arthur’s Seat. We’ll have a picnic up top and take in the stunning, panoramic views of Edinburgh and beyond.

We’ll stop off at a few of Kirsty’s favourite local pubs, full of character! You’ll then have some free time to chill out and get ready for the evening activities. We’ll meet for an (optional) meal at Holyrood 9a for a burger before getting our dancing shoes on and going for a Ceilidh.
